Another Petrobras onshore divestment creates a new rising Brazilian independent

The independents’ peer group space in Brazil is fast-growing, particularly onshore. There has always been enormous interest, but Petrobras’ dominance was the obstacle to company ambitions. Now the NOC’s divestment program, along with a proactive regulator, is allowing that potential to be realized. A key source of financing has been private equity.
