ABU DHABI, Nov. 18, 2021 – Welligence Inc. has announced the hiring of Martin Sherriff to lead its upstream expansion into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. Martin, based in London, is joined by two analysts with MENA expertise. Hiring for the team is set to continue into 2022, as the group looks to press forward with upstream asset valuation and energy transition coverage in the region. The group will be launching full coverage of three countries from the region by the end of November.

The Welligence hiring spree in the UK continues, following the build-out of its North Sea and Sub-Saharan Africa teams over 2020-2021, in addition to business development, client support, and data science roles. The company has ambitious plans to continue hiring.

Prior to joining Welligence, Martin worked for IHS Markit for seven years, where he managed a team covering upstream asset valuation and marine support vessel tracking in the Middle East and Indian subcontinent regions.
