Morocco M&A | Energean enters Morocco and farms into Chariot’s Anchois gas development

On 7th December 2023, Energean agreed with Chariot to acquire 45% and 37.5% operating stakes in the Lixus and Rissana Offshore licences respectively. The Lixus licence holds the Anchois gas discovery, while the adjacent Rissana licence offers exploration potential. The National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM), the state-owned company, holds 25% in both.
