Occidental (Oxy), the region’s most motivated seller of the past few years, has finally sold its Ghana portfolio to Kosmos Energy and Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). With stable oil prices closing the bid-ask spread and companies re-engineering their portfolios across the region (particularly the Majors), is this just the beginning of a wave of transactions?
