On 20 May 2025, Ithaca Energy announced the acquisition of a 46.25% interest from Spirit Energy in the Southern North Sea Cygnus gas field for a consideration of £116 million (approximately $154 million). The deal increases its operated interest to 85% and is effective 1 January 2025.
