West Africa’s three established LNG suppliers, Angola LNG (ALNG), Equatorial Guinea LNG (EGLNG) and Nigeria LNG (NLNG) have all been struggling to maximise output. With both NLNG and ALNG running at around 65% capacity, both plants failed to fully take advantage of the unprecedented LNG prices in 2022. The JV partners at these plants are now pushing to address the dwindling gas supply concern. ALNG and EGLNG are on the front foot and securing gas from new sources is underway.
