With the stiff competition amongst countries in Southeast Asia to attract upstream investments and players into their country, Indonesia has successfully concluded its 2024 IPBR II. On 16 April 2025, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) announced the winners for the 2024 IPBR II through direct proposal, which began on 3 December 2024, and the bid submission ended on 15 January 2025.
