Since 2020, global CO2 capture capacity has surged by 267%, while CO2 storage capacity has outpaced this, growing by 482%. As of the end of Q1 2024, storage capacity exceeds capture capacity by at least 45%. Geographically, North America accounts for approximately 50% of both capacities, Europe 30%, and the Middle East along with APAC the remaining 20%.
