Sub-Saharan Africa Q3 2024 M&A Quarterly | Deal-making slows but SSA still on track for robust year of M&A

Last quarter saw just one deal in Sub-Saharan Africa, marking a slowdown from the first half of 2024. Despite that, 2024 remains set to be the most active year for M&A since COVID-19. The sole deal is Chappal Energies’ second in Nigeria within a year, following its November 2023 acquisition of Equinor’s Nigeria portfolio.
