August 16, 2021

LONDON, Aug. 16, 2021 – Welligence Inc. today announced that Rhona McFarlane has joined the firm as a Vice President to lead the company’s deepening expansion into Europe. Rhona joins Welligence’s growing presence in the UK, where 10 new hires have been made in the last year, largely in support of the company’s growing upstream and energy transition research platform covering Africa, the Middle East, and the North Sea.

“I am thrilled that Rhona has chosen to work with us. She shares our vision for the future and will lead Welligence’s business development expansion in Europe, focusing on the upstream energy transition and coverage of new upstream geographies,” said Welligence CEO Ross Lubetkin. “Welligence’s unique approach to upstream data transparency and machine learning forecasting will enable us to continue building the market’s most powerful energy platform, giving clients the solutions to drive decision-making.”

Prior to joining Welligence, Rhona was instrumental in various business development and marketing roles at key global energy research firms Wood Mackenzie, Enverus, Argus Media, and Westwood Global Energy Group. Throughout her career, she developed relationships and created partnerships across the energy value chain with E&Ps, NOCs, financial institutions, and trading houses throughout the EMEA region.

Rhona’s appointment is in line with several initiatives at Welligence, including expansion of the upstream and energy transition coverage businesses. Over the last year, Welligence has announced several strategic hires, with major announcements expected to continue through the rest of 2021. Please join us in welcoming Rhona to Welligence Energy Analytics.
