Analyst - MENA Research
As a Middle East and North Africa (MENA) upstream oil & gas analyst, you will join an innovative team with unique experience in the energy and data science space. In this role, you will play an important part in the maintenance and enhancement of our solution set, including our proprietary and unmatched upstream analytics.
Our team is comprised of backgrounds that range across economics, engineering, geology, journalism, statistics, and computer science. We welcome applications from all candidates with a passion for the ever-evolving energy space.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom, with no current or future visa requirements, and be willing to commute or relocate to London or Edinburgh.

What you bring:

What you will work on:

Head of US L48 Research
Welligence is seeking to hire its first Head of US L48 Research. Preferred candidates while have a variety of skill sets, including the ability to oversee the build out of our platform, engage with clients and the industry, understand the technical aspects of the data, and manage a team of software engineers, data scientists, and upstream analysts.

The Role:
Lead build-out of US L48 platform and team
- Work with software engineers, data scientists, and upstream analysts to build a US L48 database and platform
- Build an environment of excellence across the team, promoting best practices, a culture of continuous improvement, and attention to detail
- Ensure our offering is maintained at the highest quality standards, through regular updates, research and continual enhancements
Client/prospect support
- Identify and pursue commercial opportunities in cooperation with the sales team
- Develop engagement strategies with our client base and implement feedback
- Present at major industry forums and events
Create bespoke content
- Ensure the Welligence voice is heard through the timely publication of content in response to events, including significant discoveries and M&A transactions
- Work with in-house experts to drive Welligence to the forefront of thought leadership through creation of engaging and original content
Performance management
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining the framework in which objectives are generated, reviewed and feedback given
- Work with executive team to create global upstream research objectives that support corporate goals
- Coordinate the performance review process as an ongoing effort over the course of the year
Requirements:
- Over 10 years of extensive experience in the L48 upstream sector, with financial and technical expertise
- Comprehensive understanding of the research and market intelligence sectors, with a focus on delivering actionable insights and analysis to meet customer needs
- Management experience with a strong track record of leading teams and driving results in fast-paced environments
- Commercially savvy, with a proven ability to drive business sales and business development, fostering growth and long-term partnerships
- Strong technical background, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business strategy

The Role:
We are looking for a full-stack senior software engineer to join our growing organization and help us improve, expand, and secure our services. Multiple years of software development experience required. You will be working with and supported by seasoned multidisciplinary engineers and staff.
The candidate should have 7 plus years of prior experience working with modern tech stacks and designing advanced solutions with sophisticated architectures. You will be working with a passionate team in a fast-paced startup environment. Salary is competitive based on location and includes equity compensation.
