On 5 August 2026, Maurel & Prom announced that it had entered into a share purchase agreement with Gran Tierra Energy to acquire Gran Tierra Energy CI, the entity holding Gran Tierra Energy’s upstream assets and operations in Colombia and Ecuador, for a total consideration of approximately US$1.33 billion.
