Welligence Norway M&A | Sval Energi now a major Norwegian independent following deal with Equinor

On 10 May 2022, Sval Energi announced the US$1 billion acquisition of Equinor’s interests in the Greater Ekofisk Area comprising 7.604% in Ekofisk, Eldfisk and Embla, 6.63922% in Tor and 18.5% in Norpipe, plus 19% in Martin Linge. There is a contingent payment depending on oil and gas prices in 2022/2023.
