UK Fiscal & Policy | Labour increases EPL – and halts licensing?

On 4 July, the Labour party won the UK general election, ending the Conservative party’s 14-year tenure. This was followed on 29 July by the announcement that the fiscal changes it proposed in February, were it to be elected, will be introduced on 1 November 2024.
Additionally, it is likely, but currently unconfirmed, that Labour will halt all future exploration licensing rounds.
