Ten transactions were announced in April 2026, the highest level of activity in the year to date this year. The uptick in activity is perhaps surprising given the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, but the spend levels are minimal – most of the deals were very small in dollar terms, and half involved either gas assets or yet to be developed oil projects.
