Brazil’s ANP awarded 7 of 13 pre-salt blocks in the 4th OPP and 49 of 308 blocks in the 6th OPC on 7 October 2026, raising US$707 million in signature bonuses and US$472 million in exploration work commitments. Petrobras bid in both rounds, joined by PRIO, CNOOC, Sinopec, Equinor and Galp in the pre-salt round and by QatarEnergy, TotalEnergies and seven onshore independents in the concession round.
