Argentina M&A | Pampa Energia swaps wind farm with TotalEnergies to enter Vaca Muerta shale oil

Pampa Energia has announced it is to swap its 100 MW Mario Cebeiro Wind Farm (PEMC) with TotalEnergies, in exchange for the French Major’s 45% stake in the Rincon de Aranda exploration block in the Vaca Muerta. TotalEnergies is also taking on the US$86 million of debt associated with the wind farm project.
