Argentina M&A | Pluspetrol strengthens Vaca Muerta portfolio with acquisition from ExxonMobil/QatarEnergy

On 16 December 2024, Pluspetrol announced the acquisition of operated and non-operated stakes in six Vaca Muerta blocks from ExxonMobil and QatarEnergy (which acquired a 30% stake in ExxonMobil’s onshore Argentina portfolio in 2018) for a consideration of US$1.7 billion.
